About
The story behind Rugby TTL — why we exist, who we work with, and what we're trying to change.
Est. April 2024
A Tier 2, Tier 3 and grassroots rugby channel hosted by players, coaches and lifelong fans.
The rugby we follow
- ●Tier 2 & Tier 3 international rugby — Rugby Europe, South America, emerging nations
- ●Grassroots clubs across the UK, Ireland and Europe
- ●Player and coach interviews — the stories behind the game
- ●Behind-the-scenes matchday coverage and pitchside insights
- ●Spanish-language content for Hispanic rugby audiences
- ●South American rugby — Súper Rugby Américas, Los Pumas and beyond
The rugby the mainstream ignores
deserves more than scraps.
We don't follow tier-one. We follow the leagues, the clubs, the grassroots and the emerging nations the big networks won't touch. Player interviews, season reviews, match analysis — covered with the depth the game deserves.
The gap we see
Grassroots invisible
Local clubs that grow players, coaches and matchday culture barely get any visible coverage. We change that.
Tier 2 underserved
Spain, Portugal, Georgia, Romania, Italy — competitive, ambitious nations getting fractional attention vs World Cup hosts.
South America underserved
Argentina, Uruguay, Chile, Brazil, Paraguay — Súper Rugby Américas and the Sudamericano programmes barely reach Northern broadcast despite producing world-class players.
Federation noise
Federation streams are gold but disorganised. We aggregate, contextualise and analyse so fans actually find the rugby.
How we work
🤝
Collaborative
Clubs, federations, nations, creators — the change happens when we build with the people doing the work, not over them.
🎯
Honest about commercials
Commercial exposure of rugby is a constant talking point, but the game isn't being packaged with commercialisation in mind. The current model isn't working.
🚀
Alternative path
Too many assume the money will just come if they keep doing the same things. We step outside that box and prove the concept at a scale that's never been tried.
The team behind Rugby TTL
Players, coaches, fans and creators from across the rugby world — united by a love of the game the mainstream ignores.
Carl

The driving force behind Rugby TTL. A player and coach with Barbarians Marina Alta, Carl founded the channel in April 2024 to give Tier 2, Tier 3 and grassroots rugby the coverage it deserves.
Buster

Played the game, loves it from the touchline. Injury brought Buster to the sidelines, but his passion for rugby hasn't dimmed — and with his son now getting into the game, the next generation is in safe hands.
Adam

A rugby man through and through, now firmly in the touchline crew. Injury shifted Adam from the pitch to the sidelines, where he watches his son discover the same love for the game — bringing that honest perspective to Rugby TTL.
Keith

Rugby TTL's man on the ground in Ireland. Keith covers grassroots rugby across the island and joins the crew for European away days whenever he can — bringing the Irish rugby community into the fold.
Kent

A former player now firmly on the supporter's side, Kent covers grassroots rugby across the UK. A vocal advocate for the women's game, he brings a community-first perspective to everything Rugby TTL does.
Polly

Mark Pollard — Polly to everyone in the rugby world — brings the experience of a former player and coach to Rugby TTL's UK grassroots coverage. A familiar face on the touchlines and a passionate voice for the game at every level.
Pasquale

A creator with roots in Rugby TTL, GameDay Bites and Club Rugby Toledo, Pasquale bridges the Italian and Spanish rugby worlds — a passionate advocate for the growth of the game across Southern Europe.
Luis

Based in Buenos Aires, Luis hosts Rugby TTL's Hispanic South American content — bringing the passion of Argentine rugby and the wider Súper Rugby Américas story to a Spanish-speaking audience across the continent.
